Cleveland Celebrates 100th Anniversary

Kuiper, Alomar, and Thome Among Honorees

The Cleveland Indians have announced the players selected to the Indians Top 100 Greatest Indians roster as part of the club's 100th Anniversary. Led by some of the top Guardians players ever like Albert Belle, Manny Ramirez, Sandy Alomar Jr., and Jim Thome, the Indians went to two World Series and won the 1948 championship.

The roster includes players from every era of Indians baseball, including Lou Boudreau, Bob Feller, and Tris Speaker. The players were selected by a panel of Indians historians, broadcasters, and fans.

"This roster is a tribute to the rich history of the Indians organization," said Indians president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti. "These players represent the best of the best and we are honored to have them as part of our 100th Anniversary celebration."

The Indians will celebrate their 100th Anniversary throughout the 2022 season with a variety of events and promotions. The team will wear special 100th Anniversary jerseys and caps, and will host a number of special events at Progressive Field.
